Mara Wilson was one of the most successful child actresses of the 1990s.
She first played the daughter of Robin Williams’ character in Mrs. Doubtfire in 1993, then starred in the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street. “She played the main character of Matilda. The adaptation of Ronald Dahl’s beloved children’s book was a huge success and became a film that defined an entire generation of children.

Following Matilda’s success, many believed Wilson was ready to become a big Hollywood star. However, the problems she had with the Hollywood machine, coupled with her diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder, put Wilson back in the spotlight.
